Attracting more and more people every year, themed walks are becoming increasingly popular. As well as offering the chance to discover or rediscover the resort of Méribel, this type of activity is also great fun.

Centred around specific themes such as exploring local heritage, the vineyards or local cuisine, themed hikes are the ideal way to enjoy a unique outing with friends or family during your stay in the Alps. With Montagne Expériences by ESF Méribel, you can sign up with your children for full-day or half-day themed hikes and rediscover this resort in the height of summer.

Enjoy the benefits of the mountains on a themed hike

Hiking is widely recognised as a great way to keep fit and healthy, and is one of the best sporting activities to enjoy with family or friends. If you’ve chosen to spend your summer holidays in the mountains, and more specifically in Méribel, there’s no shortage of activities to ensure you have a unique holiday and create some unforgettable memories.

To keep your children entertained and allow them to enjoy their holidays whilst making friends of their own age, the ESF Méribel has set up clubs suitable for all ages. If your children are aged between 3 and 5, you can enrol them in our ‘Les Mini Aventuriers’ club, open from 1 July to 30 August this summer, supervised by a qualified team of instructors. During their stay, your children will be able to take part in a range of fun activities to discover the secrets of the mountains, including our themed hikes.

Whilst your children are at the Les Mini Aventuriers club, you can explore the Gébroulaz glacier and learn about its history. As you enjoy a day in the great outdoors, you’ll also have the chance to admire the breathtaking scenery from the Alpine peaks.

Full-day or half-day walks suitable for young children

Depending on your child’s age, we offer full-day or half-day walks. For children aged 3 to 5 who are members of our Les Mini Aventuriers club, half-day walks are more suitable and will allow them to take part in a treasure hunt to explore the valley; you’re welcome to join in to accompany your little ones and enjoy a lovely day out as a family.

Our instructors will also introduce them to the life cycle of trees so that they can gradually discover the different species found in the mountain wilderness. In glorious sunshine, your children will also have the chance to explore the Tuèda Forest and visit the Beaufort production farm, which is not usually open to the public.
If your little ones are aged between 6 and 8, our Les P’tits Aventuriers club will give them the chance to take part in a wide range of activities with other children their own age: their first taste of horseback acrobatics, craft workshops, an introduction to fishing and much more besides.

During a themed hike, they’ll have the chance to discover the mountain wildlife and the forests surrounding the resort of Méribel. At ESF Méribel, we’ve organised full-day walks during which they can head to the Gébroulaz glacier or walk to the Jean-Claude cross. Don’t hesitate any longer – put your trust in the Méribel ESF to make your summer holiday in the mountains a real success!
