Originally from Annecy in the Haute-Savoie department, Charly did not have the luck to grow up near a ski club. This did not stop him though and it is at two years old in a small resort that he discovered skiing. Thanks to lessons with an instructor, he obtained his Flèche d’Or level at 8 years old and enrolled in a city ski club following his instructor’s encouragement. Competitor at heart and passionate about skiing, he participated in competitions for over 22 years until he reached the FIS circuit level. His passion for winter sports and his desire to share this discipline helped him become a ski instructor in the prestigious esf school.

Charly discovered the resort of Méribel when he was a child through a family friend. It was evident that this resort would become his place of work. Concerning esf Méribel, Charly believes that it conveys essential values such as sharing, professionalism, rigour and excellence in learning. As an experienced instructor, he believes that there is no age limit for learning to ski. His pedagogy is based on confidence but above all on technique. His best teaching memories are the lessons he gave to a 69 year old lady who had never skied before.

Outside Méribel, Charly works as manager and head of a cosmetic surgery centre in Switzerland. In addition to winter sports, Charly remains active by practising golf, wake-surfing and surfing as well as CrossFit. He has also just discovered climbing. Finally, in Méribel, his favourite slopes are the Saulire and the Folie Douce.
