The esf mascots accompany your children as they discover skiing, and much more besides. These emblems of the school are everywhere in the mountains: in the toddler nursery, in the kindergarten, on ski medals, etc.

In Méribel or elsewhere, you may even have come across them at the bottom of the slopes, but who are they really? Piou Piou, Blanchot, Garolou... Discover them all in this article!

The esf Méribel mascots: from Piou Piou to Garolou

To make every lesson more fun and memorable for the youngest skiers, the esf mascots come to life in every ski resort throughout the season. In particular, they liven up the ski lessons given in the Mottaret and Rond-Point kindergartens, but are also present at the Chaudanne day nursery and the Piou Piou Club. The latter is named after one of them.

The esf mascots can be brought to life thanks to the efforts of esf members, as well as decorating some of the kindergarten modules. There are now 5 mascots in total:

  • Piou Piou the chick
  • Blanchot the hare
  • Sifflote the groundhog,
  • Garolou the wolf,
  • Titourson the bear.

These amusing animals will help your children to excel on the slopes, while allowing them to train in a fairytale world of fun, freedom and games. So, who will be the favourite mascot of your apprentice skiers?

Ski levels: what do the esf mascots represent?

As well as being fun, the esf mascots also have significance in the world of ski medals. First of all, it's important to tell you about Piou Piou, as this little chick is the emblem of the children's club. He represents all the little skiers aged 3 to 5. He also appears on the first medal that can be won at the esf: he's the most essential mascot!

For his part, Blanchot symbolises the success of the first slides, while Sifflote brings speed control. Garolou adds the ability to change direction (snowplough left and right). Finally, Titourson completes the learning process with a ski test, before handing over to the snowflake and the stars.

The esf mascots help to monitor and understand each child's level of skiing, while motivating them to want to collect them.

Club Piou Piou: the club that introduces children to skiing

Is your child between 3 and 5 years old and would you like them to discover or continue skiing? The esf Méribel Piou Piou Club makes it possible. Here, the youngest can take group or private ski lessons, surrounded by their favourite mascots.

These children's ski lessons usually take place over 5 or 6 days, in the morning or afternoon, in a three-hour format, or all day. It's up to you to choose the learning formula that best suits your children, so that they have excellent memories of their stay in Méribel, in the heart of the 3 Vallées!
