Low Carbon Initiative

Our Digital Commitment
What is our Low Carbon approach?
At esf Méribel, we're committed to sharing much more than a passion for skiing. We believe in experiencing the mountains with enthusiasm, respect and a genuine commitment to preserving the environment we love.

The digital world also has an environmental impact. Today, the internet is estimated to account for almost 4% of global greenhouse gas emissions. That's why we've redesigned our website with a Low Carbon approach: lighter, faster and more efficient.

By reducing the resources required to browse our site and focusing on what really matters, we're helping to lower our digital footprint while continuing to provide a clear, enjoyable user experience.
Lighter Images, Smaller Footprint
Our images have been carefully optimised to reduce page weight and minimise the amount of data transferred.
Our goal: fewer data downloads and lower carbon emissions.
A Cleaner, Simpler Design
A streamlined design with lighter graphic elements reduces energy consumption while improving readability.
Our goal: minimise our digital environmental impact.
Improved Accessibility
We've simplified content and navigation to make the website easier to use for everyone.
Our goal: fewer clicks, fewer resources used and a better experience for more users.
Giving Back to the Mountains
Dernier Planté de Bâton – Mountain Clean-Up Day
Our commitment to the mountains doesn't end when the ski season finishes.

Every spring, the esf Méribel instructors take part in the Dernier Planté de Bâton, a collective clean-up operation across the ski area.

Working alongside the resort's other partners, we help remove litter from the slopes, protecting the landscapes that make Méribel so special. It's a simple but meaningful way to preserve the mountains for future generations and extend our commitment beyond the winter season.
