Advice for parents

For children at the Piou Piou Mini Club / Piou Piou Club

Before you come, please remember to bring the following with you:

  • The health form, which you must download and complete before your arrival and hand in to the Club Piou Piou manager.
  • A ski pass, issued free of charge to children under 5 (available from the ski lift ticket offices)
  • Proof of age
  • Suitable clothing: a jacket and dungarees or a ski suit (warm, comfortable and waterproof), a face mask or sunglasses with a cord, mittens (fingerless gloves are not recommended), high-factor sun cream, tissues, etc.
  • Their ski equipment: boots , skis and a helmet (compulsory). Please label the equipment with your child’s name.
  • A small snack to pop in their pocket for the break.
  • Their comfort blanket or dummy, if needed.
Piou Piou Health Information Sheet

Daily schedule at Club Piou Piou:

  • Arrival in the morning between 9.00 am and 9.30 am
  • Introduction to and learning to ski, snow games
  • A short ‘snack break’ (snack not provided) is offered during the morning.
  • Parents collect their children between 11.45 am and 12.00 pm, or children stay for lunch at 12.00 pm
  • Lunch & activities: esf instructors ensure the children’s comfort and meals, as well as that they have a rest period until 2.00 pm
  • Afternoon drop-off between 2.00 pm and 2.30 pm
  • Ski lessons, snow games and a snack
  • End of activities and parents collect their children between 4.45 pm and 5.00 pm

For all children:

For your child’s wellbeing and comfort:
  • Make sure your child is properly kitted out: warm, waterproof clothing, a windproof jacket, mittens, goggles with a cord or a ski mask, a hat or cap, tissues, sun cream…
  • As for their ski kit: ski boots, skis and a helmet (highly recommended)! Poles are only required from the 2ème Étoile level onwards.
  • Pop a snack in their pocket in case they get peckish.
  • Leave it to the instructors to decide whether to change groups if necessary.
  • Avoid following your child or calling out to them during their lesson, as this could disrupt their progress.
  • Your child is on holiday and the aim is for them to have fun and want to come back. So, respect their pace and don’t try to turn them into a champion before their time!

To ensure that lessons run smoothly, please observe the following rules:
  • Please show your class pass (paper or app) to the instructor at the start of each group or private lesson.
  • Please arrive on time at the meeting point for lessons (group or private): any delay will be deducted from your lesson time!
  • Make sure you have a ski pass before the lessons begin. The ski pass is not included in the lesson price and is compulsory for access to the ski lifts.
  • Equipment is not provided: please ensure it is suitable for the pupil’s height, weight and ability level.
  • esf does not provide insurance for its pupils; we recommend that you check your personal cover or take out carré neige insurance if necessary.

Opening of the ski area
The Méribel ski area welcomes you from 5 December 2026 to 17 April 2027 for a season packed with skiing and thrills in the heart of the 3 Vallées!
  • Before you put on your skis, do remember to check the day’s weather forecast (source: Météo France) so that you can choose the right kit and make the most of your days on the slopes.

A lunch with plenty of accompaniments
Choose the ‘Meals included’ option when booking your child’s course!

With a supervised lunch, activities and a rest period from 12.00 to 14.00, your child aged 18 months to 12 years can make the most of their day in the snow with their friends, in a safe and friendly environment.

It’s the perfect package for even more adventures, games and wonderful memories to share in the evening!
Please note that places are limited, so do make sure to book in advance.
Meals can be added as an option when booking your lessons. If this option is not available, it means there are no more places available on the dates you have chosen.

Important
The venue for meals must be the same as that for the lessons.
For example, for a class at La Chaudanne, the meal must be booked there.

Practical information

For the children at the ‘Saturnins’ nursery

For health reasons and for your child’s comfort, please bring the following:
  • Original proof of age (no photocopies): passport, family record book, health insurance card
  • Health record or vaccination certificate showing up-to-date vaccinations
  • Health form to be downloaded and completed before your stay
  • Slippers, nappies and a change of clothes
    (underpants, tights, socks, polo shirt)
  • Sunglasses, gloves, a hat and high-factor sun cream
  • Comfort blanket, dummy
  • Snack
  • Don’t forget to get insured! If your child is unwell, we will not be able to admit them to the nursery. Thank you for your understanding.
Health Information Sheet: Day Care Centre

A typical day at “Les Saturnins” nursery:

  • Children arrive in the morning between 9.00 am and 10.00 am
  • Various activities (free play outdoors, sledge rides, snowshoeing, scooters, motor skills activities, etc.)
  • Lunch & activities: we prioritise the children’s comfort and nutrition, as well as ensuring they have a rest period until 2.00 pm
  • Afternoon drop-off between 2.00 pm and 2.30 pm
  • Naptime, activities.
