Children's Competition Courses

The esf Méribel instructors offer three different courses for children aged 7 to 10.
These programmes are specially designed for those who want to take their skiing further by competing against the clock as well as other children their age. 

Whether it's an introduction to competition with our Competition Camps, skill development during our Slalom Courses or intensive training sessions with our Elite Courses, our instructors will help your child progress quickly so that they can take part in local or national competitions.

Please note that places are limited, early booking is highly recommended for your children's competition course.

Our children's training courses

Competition Camp, a first step towards performance testing

Your children aged 7 to 10, with a level ranging from Étoile d'Or to Flèche de Bronze, will enjoy a stimulating week with our Competition Camp! After three days of skiing in the Méribel Valley and the 3 Vallées ski area, focusing on technical skills, it's time for a challenge with two mornings of specific training for the Flèche and Chamois tests and two afternoons of Flèche and Chamois testing.

Slalom course, a stimulating challenge for your children

Children aged 8 and over who have achieved the Flèche Bronze to Flèche de Vermeil level can opt for a course focusing on slalom. After two days of skiing in the Méribel Valley and the 3 Vallées ski area to work on technique and the fundamentals of skiing, your children will be able to train for three mornings on the Flèche or Chamois events. The remaining three afternoons will be reserved for taking the chosen test.

Elite Course: competition steps up a notch for children

With a Flèche d'Or level for the U14, U16 and U18 categories, or Flèche Vermeil for the U8, U10 and U12 categories, your children aged 8 and above can enjoy a competition course that is up to the challenge! Every morning of the week is dedicated to training for the Flèche, Chamois or Fusée events, while the afternoons are reserved for testing. Time during the day may also be devoted to free skiing, off-piste skiing or watching videos made during the children's training sessions to analyse their performance.

The Vallée de Méribel Lift pass for the Slalom and Elite Courses.And the 3 Vallées Lift pass for the Competition Camp course.
Which equipment is required for this course?
Downhill skis such as giant slalom adapted to their level. See with sports shops. Back protection and ski helmet highly recommended.
