Located in the heart of the 3 Vallées, the Méribel ski area is an exceptional playground for skiers. From green runs to black slopes, there's plenty for winter sports fans to do in this privileged environment.

Among the many possibilities open to them, the most experienced skiers can, if they wish, take on the superb wild piste of the Bartavelle in Méribel. It's a must-do, and one you'll want to (re)discover the next time you're in the resort!

What does the Bartavelle black run look like?

In Méribel, you can try out a large number of legendary ski runs. During your stay in the mountains, you can push your limits on the Combe du Vallon, the Roc de Fer slope or the Mauduit.

Another must-do is the wild Bartavelle slope, a 648m-long black run. To take full advantage of this technical challenge, all you need to do is take the Roc de Tougne chairlift (TSD6) in Méribel and summon up the courage to take on this sporting challenge.

The Bartavelle black run is generally very popular with skiers, as it is located on the north side of the mountain, which means it benefits from high-quality snow at all times of the day. As well as its challenging descent, this wild ski run also boasts superb views of the Mont Blanc, which can be admired along the way.

The wild Bartavelle slope: for what kind of skier?

You may not know it, but the Bartavelle slope is the longest black run in Méribel. Its vertiginous descent is made up of bumps and steep sections, all set in an exceptional natural environment.

As you might expect, the Bartavelle piste in Méribel is not accessible to everyone. Only the most experienced skiers can attempt this sporting challenge. You need a certain amount of experience to ski down this slope safely and without fear.

The thrill of the experience can surprise even the best skiers. Less experienced skiers can try their hand at the Pic bleu (beginners) or the Combe du Vallon (intermediates and experts).
