An unmissable tradition in ski resorts, the torchlit descent is an opportunity to admire a truly magical scene in the heart of the mountains. During this event, esf instructors offer an illuminated ski descent at nightfall. Accompanied by their torches, they make their way in single file down to the bottom of the slopes, creating a sensational ballet of light.

This magical experience is not to be missed during your stay in Méribel. Adults can enjoy the scene from outside, while the little ones can join in the fun.

Every Wednesday during the Christmas and February school holidays, they can take part in this unique activity from the Rond-Point des pistes or the Hameau, depending on their level. It's guaranteed to be a memorable experience!

In Méribel, there's another important and unusual event that punctuates the resort throughout the season: the medal ceremony! An unmissable experience for all young skiers, it's a chance for them to celebrate their progress in skiing or snowboarding.

A symbolic ceremony, the medal ceremony is organised by the esf every Friday, at the end of a week's lessons. All the young skiers who have taken part in the lessons are invited to receive an award appropriate to their level. So it's in a very friendly atmosphere, and to the applause of their parents, that the budding sportsmen and women receive their teddy bear, snowflake or star medal.

Entertainment, visits from the mascots, music and souvenir photos were all part of this warm moment, which rounded off the children's stay in the resort perfectly.

From December to April, Méribel puts on a series of unusual events to make your stay in the 3 Vallées unforgettable, but you can also spice up your visit by opting for some original activities.
