Team Kids courses: the formula that will help your children progress

Every year, the ski resort of Méribel, in the Tarentaise valley, welcomes a large number of French and even foreign families. The ESF offers a range of lessons for children and their parents.

From the age of eight, the youngest can improve their skiing skills on a Team Kids course. Over 5 or 6 days, apprentice skiers can take advantage of the advice of ESF instructors to progress at their own pace.

Team Kids course: ski lessons from the age of 8!

Available throughout the season, the Team Kids course is a ski instruction programme for children aged eight and over. To benefit from the advantages of this package, however, young skiers must already have some experience on the slopes, as they must present the Étoile d'Or level when they register.

If this is the case, your child can choose between two formats: 5 or 6 mornings - 5 or 6 afternoons. Please note that lessons can start on a Sunday or Monday, depending on your availability.

By choosing the ESF Méribel Team Kids course, your child will be able to make rapid progress alongside other skiers of the same age and ability. In good spirits, and perhaps even in the sunshine, they'll learn new skiing techniques and perfect those they're not so good at.

How do I register for a Team Kids course in Méribel?

If you're planning a week's family holiday in Méribel, the Team Kids course is a great way to keep your child aged eight and over occupied. While you're strolling along the resort's terraces and superb ski slopes, your apprentice skier will be having a great time in the snow with other little snow enthusiasts.

To make sure they get the most out of it, we recommend that you book the package of your choice a few weeks before you come to the Tarentaise valley. Places tend to sell out quickly. These days, you can register your child online via the ESF Méribel website, or by email or post.

You should also remember to bring suitable equipment, including a ski mask, warm clothing, a helmet and, of course, a pair of skis and poles.

How can you keep your child occupied on holiday in Méribel?

The Team Kids course offered by ESF Méribel is not the only option available to your child. In fact, other fun activities can be enjoyed during their holidays.

For example, you can sign them up now for snowboard lessons, or even a Freestyle Motion session, if they're more the adventurous type. To take things even further, you can also opt to share a great family adventure by going snowshoeing, provided your child is aged 10 or over. It's up to you to create your ideal programme!
