Sportkids Challenge: will your children be ready to take on the challenge this summer?

Summer in the mountains is the perfect opportunity for young people to take on new challenges. Based in the Méribel ski resort, Sportkids invites budding athletes to push themselves and burn off some energy throughout the summer with a series of activities that are both competitive and fun.

Open to those aged 14 and over, the Sportkids Challenge is the event not to be missed for your teenagers looking for a challenge this summer! Between July and August, they’ll be able to come and work up a sweat with a range of activities, each more intense than the last. Their reaction times, precision and stamina will all be put to the test throughout the summer.

Every day, a new and challenging adventure is on offer. It’s up to them to put their driving, gliding, shooting and running skills to the test to shine and beat their opponents in go-karting, wakeboarding, the vertical kilometre, orienteering, as well as archery and laser biathlon! At the end of the summer, a final ranking will be announced, based on the total of the times and scores accumulated throughout the events.

Although it’s perfectly possible to take part in the day’s events, the Sportkids Challenge is an intense competition running weekly throughout the summer! However, other more fun and relaxing activities are on offer for the young athletes, giving them a chance to catch their breath between each event.

The more high-energy challenges are therefore usually held in the morning. After these, you’ll have time to eat and get to know your opponents. With everything from relaxing in the Olympic Park’s spa area to paintball, rafting and laser tag, the afternoon is all about having fun and helping you recover from your exertions.

Signing up couldn’t be simpler. All you need to do is provide a medical certificate confirming that there are no medical reasons preventing them from taking part in sport, dated within the last 6 months. They can then join a group of at least 4 participants, wearing appropriate clothing for the activities. It’s up to them to give it their all and, who knows, maybe win the competition and take home the top prize – some sports kit!
