Looking for a change from skiing or snowboarding? Would you like to spend a day in the mountains with your family or friends? Then the snowshoe outings organised by the ESF Méribel should be just what you're looking for.
In the heart of the most beautiful snow-covered landscapes in the area, you'll set off on an adventure as a group and discover all the secrets of Méribel's flora and fauna. A whole host of surprises awaits you!
Unlike most high-altitude winter activities, which focus on speed and thrills, snowshoe outings invite you to 'take it easy', literally and figuratively, for a few hours.
During a walk, participants are invited to slow their pace and take the time to observe the wonders that surround them. These may be animal tracks in the snow, plants with medicinal properties, a remarkable bird species (golden eagle, etc.), and so much more!
Nevertheless, snowshoeing is a sport in its own right, as it strengthens the heart, abdominal muscles and leg muscles, while reducing stress. What's more, the feeling of freedom is total!
If you book your snowshoe outing with ESF Méribel, you'll be able to discover some of the best spots in the ski area.
For example, if you're in good physical shape, you can tackle the Vallon du Fruit, a challenging day-long route. Along the way, you may be lucky enough to spot ibex or chamois. A picnic can also be organised near the lake.
In the morning, lasting around 2 hours 30 minutes, your group of up to six people can also enjoy a lovely snowshoe walk to Lac de Tuéda or towards the Vallée des Allues. Forests, chalets, mountain pastures... Each itinerary chosen by the ESF Méribel is full of surprises!
