Off-piste: what are the best secret spots in Méribel?

While the area around Méribel has no shortage of extreme couloirs, steep slopes and powder fields popular with many freeriders, there are also a few hidden treasures where you can enjoy the off-piste experience on your own.

To do this, head for the Saulire sector. From the top of the Loze chairlift, climb the ridge of the Rocher de la Loze and continue towards the Dent de Burgin. As well as enjoying a magnificent view of Méribel and Les Encombres, you'll need speed and technique on the many slopes and couloirs in the area.

More experienced skiers can also try the less-frequented Valdez sector or the Pointe de Borgne couloirs. These are just some of the spots where jumps, steep slopes and narrow paths all combine to require perfect mastery of the discipline!
