During the festive season and the February school holidays, a ski holiday is always a good idea for spending some quality time with the family. Méribel offers a selection of accommodation and activities perfectly suited to young and old alike.

With the Famille Plus label, the resort is a wise choice for parents who want to offer their children quality ski lessons while making the most of their time here. It's also an excellent opportunity to test your budding skiers!

Ski lessons tailored to your child

Thanks to a team of state-qualified instructors, the esf Méribel offers quality teaching designed to introduce your children to the joys of skiing and snowboarding. Group or private lessons are available for all ages from 5 to 12.

Our aim? Take stock of your child's level and skills, then adapt the teaching method to help them progress at their own pace.

Whether in a group or on a one-to-one basis, young skiers benefit from tailor-made coaching to help them gain confidence on the slopes, improve their technique and deepen their knowledge of the discipline. From Ourson to Étoile d'or, lessons are given by the half-day or full day.

Ski tests to assess progress

If your child attends the Méribel ski school for a whole week, he or she can claim a medal as proof of the level acquired. After Club Piou-Piou and before the competition, the Ourson, the Flocon, the 1ʳᵉ Étoile, the 2ᵉ Étoile, the 3ᵉ Étoile, the Étoile de Bronze, the Étoile d'Argent and the Étoile d'Or are the medals to be received.

For this, several factors are taken into account by the teachers such as speed control, control of turns and balance, precision of trajectories and many other elements.

Of course, the tests take place in a positive and caring atmosphere. The idea is to offer children the chance to take up a challenge that is within their grasp, and to encourage them as they learn to ski or perfect their techniques.

At the end of these tests, the instructors award the medal corresponding to the level to be passed. If they do not pass all the tests, the apprentice skiers receive a participation medal and encouragement from the team, who will be delighted to help them achieve their goals the following season.

Whatever the level achieved, your child will receive his or her prize at a medal ceremony organised by the ski school every Friday. It's a great way for you and your family to celebrate your little rider's progress and encourage them to keep up the good work.

With the esf Méribel, children can enjoy a serene environment that encourages them to give their all!
