Want to do something other than skiing? 3 snow activities to try out in Méribel

In the heart of the 3 Vallées, the resort of Méribel welcomes you every year to its 72 ski runs for some memorable descents.

If you like, you can also vary the pleasures by discovering activities other than skiing with esf Méribel. Among the various options on offer, we particularly recommend these three winter sports: snowshoeing, snowboarding and biathlon.

A snowshoe outing to immerse yourself in nature

Snowshoeing is really for everyone, from the age of 10 upwards. Families can therefore choose to share this experience together, which is not always possible in ski lessons.

The esf now offers a number of different courses on different themes. Some are aimed more at sportsmen and women, as is the case with the "Délices des sommets" day, while others are even suitable for children.

Whether you meet up at Chaudanne, Altiport or Mottaret, there's plenty to discover along the way. Find out more about the flora and fauna around you, while trying out a new and original way to get around!

New sensations with snowboarding

Whether you like skiing or not, snowboarding is a completely different way of getting out on the slopes. Available from the age of 4, snowboarding gives you the chance to build up your muscles while learning how to balance on a board.

There's really no age limit for starting this winter sport, so don't hesitate to give it a go, even as an adult. esf Méribel is always happy to help you learn, whatever your level!

It's worth noting that esf snowboard lessons generally take place over five or six mornings, giving you plenty of time to get to grips with your equipment and make progress. So why not give it a go this season?

Two activities in one with the esf introduction to biathlon

For even more fun, you can also choose to put yourself in the shoes of an athlete during a 1h30 introduction to biathlon, over five days. This fun discipline, which combines Nordic skiing and rifle shooting, is sure to leave you with some excellent memories of your mountain holidays.

The benefits of biathlon are numerous, as the unique combination of cross-country skiing and shooting means you can work on both your endurance and your concentration.

If you're interested in this activity, you should know that it is always available in private lessons for a maximum of four people with esf Méribel. Don't hesitate to tell people about it before booking your lessons!
